PhD Defense Randy Meijer
On October 4th Randy Meijer successfully defended his thesis ‘Tailored Laser-Droplet Interaction for Target Formation in Extreme Ultraviolet Sources’ at Vrije Universiteit. Meijer was a PhD student in the group EUV Generation and Imaging and group leaders Stefan Witte and Kjeld Eikema served as promotor.
The thesis investigates the interaction between laser pulses and metallic microdroplets, and the ensuing dynamics, with a specific focus on exploiting the tunability of laser pulses and pulse sequences.
