dr. Lyuba Amitonova
CV / Biography
Lyuba Amitonova received her PhD from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) in 2013 on new methods for in vivo bioimaging. As a post-doc, she moved to the University of Twente (the Netherlands) to work with prof. P.W.H. Pinkse and prof. A.P. Mosk on wavefront shaping for imaging, endoscopy, and quantum communication. In 2017, she received the VENI grant (NWO) and joined the group of prof. J.F. de Boer at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, where she developed a new method of computational super-resolution endo-microscopy. In October 2019, Lyuba started as a group leader at ARCNL Metrology Department funded by the personal WISE fellowship (NWO). In April 2023, she got a tenure position as an assistant professor at VU Amsterdam. Her research interests include computational optical imaging, fiber optics, and spatial light engineering.
