Tevis Jacobs Lab visiting Contact Dynamics at ARCNL

Prof. Tevis Jacobs and two researchers from his group, Felix Cassin and Arushi Pradhan, visited the Contact Dynamics group at ARCNL at the Amsterdam Science Park. The lab of Tevis Jacobs at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, focusses on revealing the physical processes governing the mechanics of surfaces and interfaces. In the context of overlapping research interests, the two groups shared knowledge and experiences as well as potential directions for future research goals. Following the brainstorming session, Tevis Jacobs gave a lecture on “Insights into tribology from in-situ nanoscale experiments.” in the monthly held “Friction Club” with participants from ARCNL and UvA.
