On Wednesday, June 3, Jarich Haitjema defended his thesis Exciting tin-oxo cages: light-induced chemistry for nanopatterning. Haitjema did his doctoral research in the Nanophotochemistry group of promotor professor Fred Brouwer. Former group leader Sonia Castellanos was co-promotor.

On Thursday, June 18, it was Stephen Edward’s turn to defend this thesis Detection of hidden gratings using light and sound. Edward was part of the Light-Matter Interaction group of promotor Paul Planken. Group leader Stefan Witte was co-promotor.
