On April 4th, Dmitry Kurilovich defended his PhD thesis ‘Laser-induced dynamics of liquid tin microdroplets’. Kurilovich is the first PhD student to start and finish his doctoral studies at ARCNL. The graduation marks, therefore, a milestone in the development of ARCNL since its start in 2014.

The defense ceremony took place at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Kurilovich did his PhD project in the EUV Plasma Processes group led by professors Ubachs, Hoekstra, and Dr. Versolato.
