Peter Kraus ‘techniektalent’ of 2020

Group leader Peter Kraus is one of the fifteen technical talents (Techniektalenten) of 2020 in the Netherlands, that were identified by the Dutch technical journal De Ingenieur.

Fundamental science research is required to enable the production of next generation microelectronics and computer chips. Therefore Peter Kraus is building a very powerful laser setup at ARCNL to be able to measure even the smallest details and fastest processes in nanostructures, and collaborates with the Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML to ensure a transition of this fundamental research into technological applications.
