Open Day 2021

On October 2^nd ARCNL participated in the Amsterdam Science Park Open Day, welcoming the general public in the labs and in the main lecture room on campus.

Because of the Covid restrictions visitors had to register beforehand, but this did not stop people. They showed up in small groups and filled up our labs quickly. In the main lecture room, Joost Frenken and Maarten Voncken (ASML) presented the world of ‘smartphones, chips and atoms’ and Bart Weber explained how the smartphone technique goes back to Leonardo da Vinci.

The Open Day was part of the national weekend of science.
