First Edition of the NNV Plasma Rolduc Conference

We just concluded the very first NNV Plasma Rolduc conference (2-3 April). This is a new conference series that revives and combines prior annual plasma physics meetings. The conference is organized by ARCNL and TU/e on behalf of the section Sectie Plasma- en Gasontladingsfysica (NNV-PG) of the Netherlands’ Physical Society (NNV).
Plasma Rolduc covers a broad range of plasma physics research conducted in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, including extreme plasmas such as those found in fusion and laser-produced systems, plasma diagnostics and modeling, as well as plasma processing.
We had a very successful conference, with 122 participants and, given the enthusiasm of the participants, we are sure that we have established a strong, yearly returning meeting.

We congratulate Calum Ryan on winning the poster prize (and for answering the question: “why does plasma induced flow of saline change direction over time?”). And congratulations to Jente Wubs on winning the prize for the best oral contribution, with her talk on using “terahertz absorption spectroscopy for measuring atomic oxygen densities”. Of course, we are also very proud of the excellent contributions from ARCNL speakers and poster presenters!
Hope to see you all next year!
