Special farewell symposium for Wim van der Zande
This special symposium will commemorate the research contributions of Wim with various speakers from the past, present, and future.
After lunch, the program will be opened and hosted by Bart Noordam, Senior Vice President Strategy at ASML, where he was a colleague of Wim’s. This will be followed by contributions from Annemieke Petrignani and Dave Parker, scientists who collaborated closely with Wim during his time at Radboud University and AMOLF, and with whom he has remained in contact ever since. After the break, Joost Frenken (Wim’s predecessor) and Marcelo Ackermann (his successor) will give a joint presentation. We will conclude the program with a personal reflection by Wim van der Zande himself.
The symposium will be followed by drinks, providing an opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and network.
