dr. Zhonghui Nie
CV / Biography
Zhonghui Nie received his PhD from Nanjing University in 2019. He was responsible for the design and construction of the time-resolved angle-resolved photoelectron emission spectroscopy (TR-ARPES) system, based on high harmonic generation, and utilized it to investigate electron dynamics in novel solids. Zhonghui continued ultrafast electronic and lattice interactions in strongly correlated materials during his stay at Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
Since June 2021 he moved to the Netherlands and started working at ARCNL. He mainly focuses on developing the intense and table-top soft X-ray source in the water window and its nanoscale metrology applications. Meanwhile, he is also interested in ultrafast light-matter interaction in strongly correlated materials, for instance, utilising high harmonic generation spectroscopy to study photo-induced metal-insulator transition.
