Mikheil Kharbedia

CV / Biography
Mikheil Kharbedia earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Madrid in 2016, followed by a master’s degree in chemical science and technology in 2017. He completed his Ph.D. at the same university in 2020, focusing on the rheology and surface wave turbulence of complex fluids.
After his doctorate, he joined the user-facility research institute ELI-ALPS as a research fellow. There, he worked on developing micro-sized liquid jets and films with potential applications in ultrafast laser spectroscopy. During this time, he also conducted a short research stay at LMU as part of a collaboration with the ELI facility.
In March 2023, Mikheil began a postdoctoral collaboration at ARCNL, where he joined the EUV Plasma Processes group led by Prof. Oscar Versolato. His current research interests include the laser-induced deformation of tin droplets and the hydrodynamic instabilities of the resulting thin sheets.
