CV / Biography

Hermann Karl Schubert completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Leipzig between 2015 and 2018, where he also conducted research at the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification (IOM Leipzig) in the field of reactive ion beam etching.

From 2019 to 2021, he pursued a Master’s degree in Physics at the University of Jena, specializing in Optics and Photonics. During this time, he worked at the Institute of Applied Physics (IAP Jena) on fiber and waveguide lasers, focusing on the development of ultra-broadband, ultra-short pulse laser sources.

Since 2021, he has been a PhD candidate at the ARCNL in Amsterdam, where his research focuses on the target shaping of liquid tin droplets for laser-produced plasma (LPP) sources.
